focused on innovation
Take the initiative in core technologies

China National Heavy Truck Group (CNHTC) is implementing the Two Sessions’ requirement to “strengthen mastery of key technologies” and has established an independent, industry-leading R&D system. CNHTC adheres to an R&D strategy focused on “autonomy as the main focus and collaborative innovation as a complement” and concentrates on a diversified technology portfolio centered on all-electric vehicles and the joint development of hybrid and fuel cell technologies. The group has achieved complete mastery of its operations in key areas such as electric drive axle assembly, high-voltage electronic control, and energy management, thereby establishing a comprehensive technological advantage.
In parallel, it has deployed three major new energy technologies: pure electric, hybrid and hydrogen fuel cell, covering all power scenarios from 60 to 600 kWh; the “Xiaozhong 1.0” intelligent service system provides second-level response and proactive alerts, optimizing the entire service lifecycle through digital intelligence; and it has established the industry’s largest electromagnetic compatibility laboratory for heavy vehicles to ensure the safety and reliability of the entire vehicle.
Green transition
Paving the way for a new era of zero-carbon transport

In 2025, the China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (CNHTC) recorded a 233% increase in sales of new energy heavy-duty trucks and a 322% increase in sales of new energy light-duty trucks, significantly surpassing the industry average. In January 2026, CNHTC’s new energy heavy-duty truck sales surged by 184% year-on-year, confirming its strong growth momentum.
In response to the Two Sessions’ call to “promote green and low-carbon development,” the China National Heavy-Duty Truck Group (CNHTC) has launched a comprehensive range of new energy vehicles, including the Sinotruk SIG Shandeka and Howo models, covering all sectors such as ports, mines, urban logistics, and long-distance transport. Thanks to ultra-low wind resistance, high-efficiency electric motors, and a lightweight design, these vehicles boast reduced energy consumption and more economical operation, making green development the cornerstone of their growth.
Empowering smart manufacturing
A new peak in flexibility, digitalization and green development

By resolutely implementing the deployment of the Two Sessions’ “smart manufacturing expansion,” the China National Heavy Truck Group (CNHTC) is guided by future-oriented strategic planning and is systematically building world-class new energy production bases in Laiwu, Zhangqiu, Jining, and Chengdu, forming a flexible manufacturing capability covering multiple platforms and multiple technology paths for heavy-duty trucks, light-duty trucks, and mining trucks.
Meanwhile, China National Heavy Truck Group (CNHTC) is actively responding to the national call for carbon reduction and carbon neutrality, and is continuing to build eco-friendly factories. Looking ahead, CNHTC plans to increase its investment in research and development, consolidate its leading position in the commercial vehicle sector, and contribute Chinese solutions to the green transition of the global commercial vehicle industry.
